How it works

  1. Build the base Rub a firm base coat where your feet go.
  2. Draw your design Rub colour lightly over the bumps. Stripes, hearts, checks.
  3. Surf it It's surf wax first, made for 19–26°C water.
  4. Scrape it off Wax comb it off and draw something new.

Which wax do I need?

  • Coloured wax 7 colours · 19–26°C

    For your design. Rub it on lightly over a firm base coat. Needs a base coat (ours or any firm one).

  • Tropical Base Coat 24°C+

    Builds the grippy bumps. Your base under colour or Warm Water, or your only wax in tropical water.

  • Warm Water 19–26°C

    Everyday grip. No base coat needed; it also lasts longer over Base Coat.

Quick answers

Do I need a base coat?

For coloured wax, yes. Build grippy bumps with any firm base coat, then rub colour lightly on top. Our Tropical Base Coat is in the Build Your Butta box. Warm Water works on its own.

Does coloured wax grip like normal wax?

Yes. It's surf wax first. The colour goes on light over firm base-coat bumps, so the grippy texture stays. Made for 19–26°C water.

How do I change my design?

Scrape it off with a plastic wax comb, clean the deck and draw something new. It's wax, not paint.

When will my order ship?

Everything is on preorder and ships early December. Payment is taken at checkout. Express delivery doesn't shorten the preorder wait.

How much is delivery?

Australia-wide and tracked: $9.50 for 1–2 bars, $11 for other orders, and free from $52. You choose standard or express at checkout.

What if my wax arrives damaged?

Email us a photo with your order number, ideally within 14 days of delivery, and we'll replace it or refund you.
